On 28 February 1993 in Waco, Texas, a community went into armed rebellion against the police who came with a warrant for the arrest of David Koresh its leader. The police faced strong armed resistance, resulting in several deaths on both sides on the first day. Following this failure, the FBI took over. On 19 April 1993, after 51 days of siege and several attempts at negotiation, the FBI stormed the compound.
