On 23 March 1933, the Reichstag passed the Full Power Act in favor of Hitler. This law formalized the opening of the first concentration camp in Dachau on 20 March, headed by Himmler. This latter organized the Nazi political police, the Gestapo. On 2 May, Hitler ordered the dissolution of trade unions and the seizure of their assets. On 14 July, the Nazi party became the single party. On 30 January 1934, the autonomy of the Landers was abolished.
